Plant Now: Sweet Peas

I know I keep harping on about sweet peas, but surely they deserve the accolades. Beautifully scented, pretty flowers in a range of colours. There’s still time to plant them – sow seeds directly or look for seedlings at your garden centre. I planted some lovely lavender shades last weekend (similar to those above, the image of which comes from the amazing Florali Journal). Just be certain to protect them from slugs and snails – they love to munch on the tender seedlings.
